# Referrals

> Onboard colleagues and earn bonus credits when they sign up.

  Onboard a colleague, both accounts get 50 credits when they finish onboarding. Credits never expire and count toward any usage (scores, coaching, API calls).

# Referrals

The referral program lets you onboard colleagues to Dacard and earn bonus credits when they complete onboarding. Both you and the person you bring on receive **50 credits** when they sign up and finish the onboarding flow.

Navigate to **Settings > Referrals** to manage your invitations.

## How it works

    Enter a colleague's email address to send a direct invitation, or copy your personal referral link to share via Slack, email, or wherever.

  <Step title="They sign up">
    When your colleague signs up using your invite link or the email invitation, they are connected to your referral.

  <Step title="They complete onboarding">
    Once they finish the onboarding flow (role selection and first score), both accounts receive 50 bonus credits.

## Credit rewards

| Who gets credits   | When                                   | Amount      |
| ------------------ | -------------------------------------- | ----------- |
| **You** (referrer) | When your invitee completes onboarding | +50 credits |
| **Your invitee**   | When they complete onboarding          | +50 credits |

Credits are added immediately after onboarding completion and appear in your credit balance. They count toward any usage (scores, coaching, API calls) and never expire.

## Your referral link

Your personal referral link is unique to your account:

Copy it from **Settings > Referrals > Your Referral Link**. Anyone who signs up through this link is attributed to your referral.

## Tracking your referrals

The referral page shows your stats and history:

| Metric             | Description                               |
| ------------------ | ----------------------------------------- |
| **Sent**           | Total invitations sent                    |
| **Converted**      | Invitees who completed onboarding         |
| **Credits earned** | Total bonus credits earned from referrals |

Each referral in your history shows the invitee email, when you sent it, and current status:

* **Pending** invite sent, not yet signed up
* **Signed up** account created, onboarding not yet complete
* **Converted** onboarding complete, credits awarded
* **Expired** invite link expired without sign-up (after 30 days)

  The fastest conversions come from colleagues who are already thinking about product maturity. Share with PMs, engineering leads, and founders who would benefit from a score.
